Physics Department Meeting Minutes
April 22, 2005

Members present: Mark Larchez (chair), Jim Pejsa, John Rompala, Laura McCullough, Alan Scott (recording secretary)

Mark called the meeting to order at 9:05 am.

Announcements

1. Mark ask if the department wanted to improve the memory of the computers currently in the laboratories.  The general consensus was no.  It would have little impact since laptops will be used next year.

2. Laura announced that she was awarded a professional development grant.  As part of this grant she will be attending the January, 2006, AAPT meeting in Anchorage, AL.

Search Committee

1. Jim moved to enter into closed session.  Alan seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

(Reconvened in open session.)

2. It was announced that candidates for faculty position were reviewed.

Meeting was adjourned at 10am
