Members present: Mark Larchez (chair), Robert Foley, Paul Henkiel, Jo Hopp, Laura McCullough, Jim Pejsa (secretary), John Rompala, Alan Scott, Ellen Carlson
 
The meeting was called to order by Mark Larchez at 11:30 a.m.
 
1. Announcements

a) Levi will be back to help us with lab setup in the fall.
 
b) We need to recruit tutors for the open lab. Check with Ellen before the end of the semester.

c) If new equipment is purchased, let other members know about it by email.

d) Bob will be using Rm 117 for his research this summer.

2. Minutes for meeting of 4-21-2006 were approved.

3. Faculty Senate report from Alan Scott

a) University enrollment for fall is slightly below projections (1.2%).

b) Students in the lowest 25% high school class rank will not be accepted.

c) The faculty senate voted to endorse the Polytechnic designation.

4. Gen Ed Assessment

The Chem-105 assessment may be used as an acceptable example.

5. Other

Motion passed to approve spending $800 for Laura to attend Summer AAPT meeting.
