Members present: Mark Larchez (chair), Paul Henkiel, Jo Hopp, Laura McCullough, Jim Pejsa, John Rompala, Alan Scott, Ellen Carlson

Guests: Dean John Murphy, Donna Weber

 

 

Meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m.

 

Dean Murphy and Donna Weber attended to discuss the hiring process. The Unclassified Recruitment 2007-2008 plan handout was discussed. Specific issues included:

 

·        Record keeping of inquiries.

·        Hiring timeline.

·        Confidentiality considerations.

·        Conflict of interest.

·        References and transcripts.

·        Transportation of candidates.

·        Include reference to “seek outside funding” in ad.

·        Use separate ads for the two positions.

 

Meeting adjourned 10:00 a.m.
