UW-Stout Physics Department Meeting Minutes

Members present: Mark Larchez (chair), Paul Henkiel, Jo Hopp, Laura McCullough, Jim Pejsa, John Rompala

Meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m.

1. Announcements

J. Hopp informed members that the final draft of her Lab Modernization proposal has been completed and asked if members would like to review it before submission. M. Larchez asked that she send copies to members.

M. Larchez informed members that F. Schultz has ‘called’ a meeting of science department chairs, L. McCullough, and C. Bomar, to discuss interdisciplinary issues.

2. Minutes

Minutes of the Department’s 2007-10-24 meeting were not yet available and action was deferred until the next meeting.

P. Henkiel left the meeting at this juncture.

3. Hiring Tools

L. McCullough distributed updated drafts of Tool 5 for each position.

Members focused on the Physics version. They reviewed and revised sections I through VI. L. McCullough will draft further revisions for the next meeting.

Meeting adjourned 10:05 a.m.
