Physics Department Meeting

Members present: Mark Larchez (chair), Ellen Carlson, Paul Henkiel, Laura McCullough, Jim Pejsa, Alan Scott, John Rompala

M. Larchez called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.

1. Announcements

- We need tutors for the open lab spring semester. Forward names of any prospects to Ellen soon.

- The Gen Ed Assessment needs to be completed for our courses.

2. Minutes

- Minutes of the 11/5/04 department meeting were approved.

- Minutes of the 11/12/04 department meeting were approved after correction.

3. Hiring - Recruitment Tool 3 (questions to be used in the telephone interview)

After discussing and editing the questions, the department reached a concensus on the general wording of the questions. Laura and Alan will put the questions into final form for review.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
