The Introduction to Geology course can be taken for college credit via the web during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.  It is available through Continuing Education as the course PHYS-258-600C, PHYS-258-700C, PHYS-258-800C (Department-Course-Section).  The traditional, on-campus lecture course is PHYS-258-01 (sometimes has additional sections).  For more information, you can contact the Office of Continuing Education at (715)232-2693 (email conted@uwstout.edu) or Dr. Alan Scott at (715)232-2401 (email scotta@uwstout.edu).  You can also found out information about this course and how to register at the Continuing Education web page.  The web based course with the title Introduction to Geology and Soil Mechanics is not being offered via the web at this time.  

These web pages are designed for the courses Introduction to Geology and Introduction to Geology and Soil Mechanics courses at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. They contain class notes, multi-media material, review questions and quizzes, and important geotechnical web links with emphasis on the construction industry. This is a dynamic document! Such that, it is constantly being reviewed for additional web links, improved material/resources, and outdated material to be discarded.
