For students taking this course (Strength of Materials) over the Summer 2002 Semester - Welcome. The course really is the same for summer students as for students taking the course during a normal semester. The only real difference being that summer students have less time to complete the course. Below you will find you will find a course outline, and near the bottom of this page, a 12 week schedule. Basically, I expect students to complete at least through the topic - Rivet, Bolted & Welded Joints. We may skip some or all of the special topics, depending on time and circumstances. Also, please contact me on each topic for what problem assignments I will want you to complete. I adjust these from time to time so it is important to check with me before doing problem assignment. Also, this course does require quite a bit of time and commitment, so be sure you are ready to invest time and effort required.
As you undertake this course, please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or problems.
