State Science Standards:
. C.4.2 Use the science content being learned to ask questions, plan investigations, make observations, make predictions, and offer explanations.
C.4.7 Support their conclusions with logical arguments.
C.4.8 Ask additional questions that might help focus or further an investigation.

III.
Equipment or Materials Needed
1) A list of the movie characters in Dinosaur and the type of animals they are. (If the video is available, show a short clip and allow the students to use resources to find out what kind of animal they are).

2) A variety of resources about animals, including dinosaurs.

3) Large paper and drawing materials.

IV.
Procedure
Make sure students are aware of the different types of animals portrayed in the movie Dinosaur. Students should research the animals to find the time period when the animals lived. Compare the information to see if the characters in the movie lived during the same time period by creating a class timeline.

V.
Assessment
Observe the students while they collect data. Collect information they have gathered. Are students able to contribute information pertinent to the creation of the classes timeline?
